A Job We Can Share
Shortly before He ascended to heaven, Jesus gave his followers a job: “Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them . . . and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age” (Matt. 28:19-20). Yet, the majority of Christians have never made a disciple and don’t even know where to begin.

Becoming an Intentional Discipler
“God works through people. As other women see Jesus in me in spite of or even through all my faults and weaknesses, I pray they’ll be encouraged to let others see Jesus in them. That’s discipling. Not just an intellectual giving out of truth – lives must be exposed to each other.” God used those words, written by Anne Ortlund in her book, The Disciplines of the Beautiful Woman, to call me into an intentional discipling ministry back in November, 1981.

One way to Guarantee You’ll Grow in Your Faith
It’s possible to be very active in the Church without even having a meaningful relationship with God. Like the Biblical Martha, we can become so busy doing things “for” God that we don’t have time to spend “with” Him.
